The Gaita

This is how Spaniards call their bagpipe.
In fact, there are ten and ten kinds of gaita all different from each other. The sound of this bagpipe is similar to the one of the Scottish bagpipe. There is a deep tradition especially in Galizia.
Obviously, there is a rich documentation and many recordings related to this instrument that has exceptional interpreters, like Carlo Nunes and more recently Hevia.
